There are a few gems in Hollywood that have actually remained precious and one of those acting gems is Jeff Goldblum. The mumbling, comedic actor out of Western Pennsylvania is known for his roles in films like Independence Day, The Fly, and Jurassic Park, and now it looks like he will be returning to the latter.
It’s no secret Goldblum is constantly the bright spot in every film he’s in. He was the scene stealer in the original Jurassic Park which ended up giving him more screen time in the sequel, but like most of the actors who read the script of Jurassic Park III, did not return. With J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) helming the Jurassic World sequel, we hope to get a more sci-fi horror element to the film that was lacking if you’ve read my review on the film, but while we love Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, we can never have too much Malcolm.
Sadly, don’t expect there to be too much screen time for his character since they have two megastars already primed for major screen time. Of course, I’d rather just see more dinosaurs in dark settings, but if there’s time for Goldblum then I’m all in.
Dr. Ian Malcolm is the cocky mathmatician who somehow never got killed by the dinosaurs. Hopefully he survives yet again, but that’s to be determined.
