Tim Burton’s live-action adaptation of Dumbo for Disney seems to be going through it’s fair share of actors to star in this film, but while Tom Hanks hasn’t signed off yet (still in talks) and Will Smith dropping out for scheduling conflicts, it looks like Eva Green could be the gal to take on one of the human roles for the film.
Burton has also directed the money making adaptations of Alice In Wonderland of recent years while also doing Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children last year. We are all curious to see how Burton brings that “pink elephant scene” to real life, but at this point, can we get too excited for this movie when they are struggling to bring on that big star?
Chris Pine is also said to be the guy they are courting for the leading male role, but that’s since been rumored only in the recent days with no deal being struck yet. Green has worked with Burton in the past on both Miss Peregrine’s and Dark Shadows.
Disney also has live-action adaptations for The Lion King, Mulan, and The Little Mermaid while Beauty and the Beast will be hitting theaters this month.
