There may be more star power in here than when you’re playing Mario Kart. The return of Harrison Ford to the cult sci-fi classic by Ridley Scott has got to be one of the best ways to give a farewell tour in Hollywood. That’s not saying he’s dying or anything, but the man is a respective 74 years old, but who better to take the title of the Blade Runner than the great and talented Ryan Gosling?
Directed by Denis Villenueve, the film is set in a grimy future of 2049 where replicants and robots live among people without ever being seen with the naked eye. The film is shot by the eyes of iconic DP Roger Deakins in case you were wondering why the trailer was so beautiful, and has a cast more impressive than we could have ever imagined.
I am not one of those die hard Blade Runner fans, but like I do with The Beatles, I respect and appreciate the significance of the art and come back to it from time to time. If there is possibly a great story to be told that allows you to return to the well you originally drank from, then drink up buttercup.
