I don’t think people are as excited as they once were for Assassin’s Creed to come out like we were prior, but can we be blamed for the lack of excitement? Video game movies have no track record that has an incline on their charts anywhere to be found so it’s safe to say EVERYONE is a bit skeptical. At least Assassin’s Creed had an upward trajectory for their trailers.
We love Michael Fassbender in anything he does, but the lack of hype for this film shows in their trailer selection. This is without a doubt the best one of the three or four they’ve released this year, but it maybe a little too late if you ask me.
The trailer presents what it should have presented early on, but some unimpressive CGI still lingers in ways that I can’t avoid or ignore. I think the acting will be as good as we’d expect from actors at the caliber they are in with the talents of Marion Cotilliard, Jeremy Irons, Michael Fassbender, and many more leading the way.
