Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) Looks To Be The Star “War” Movie We’ve Never Had – Trailer Review

Staaaar Wars. For those of you casual fans unaware that there is another Star Wars film coming out, you’re in for a surprise. The anthology film that takes place after the events if Episode III and IV known as Rogue One will hit theaters this December and give us more of a look into the “war” side of Star Wars. Directed by Godzilla (2014) helmer Gareth Edwards, this film looks like it could be the undervalued hit in Star Wars canon.

Even without a Jedi in sight, the trailer pulls you into the world we know and love as well as introduce an impressive cast of rag tag rebels about to fight against the Empire. What also stood out was the visuals of the film itself and the outstanding CGI work on the landscapes and motion capture which look realer every time I see them in these films. The mixture of practical and CGI are working together like a stout offensive line about to protect the quarterback, but let’s just hope they score enough to win.

I can’t say I’m more excited about this that I was with The Force Awakens, but if this trailer is any indication on what we’re getting as a whole, then this may turn out to be my favorite Star Wars film to date… Oh yeah, and Darth Vader is in there too.
