I have no idea what this movie is about, but here’s the premise anyways:
“The story begins on Louis Drax’s 9th birthday, when a lifetime of curious mishaps culminates in the boy’s near-fatal fall. Dr. Allan Pascal (Jamie Dornan) searches for the strange circumstances behind the young boy’s accident and dark coincidences that have plagued his life.”
I still don’t know what to make of this film. You have a director in Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes) directing a film that may be fantasy, but may also just be strong symbolism for something more realistic, but at least I know that the film will be pretty. The cinematography is gorgeous and the imagery is just enough to get me curious for the film.
I’m giving Jamie Dornan the benefit of the doubt on this one because that’s what good people do after seeing 50 Shades of Grey.
