Rogue One: Darth Vader Is Confirmed To Appear In Anthology Film

With everyone scared about the re-shoots of the film, the hysteria caused an expected blindness to the good things that are coming from this film, or so we hope. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will show the events that took place between Episodes III and IV and how the rebels attempted at stealing the Death Star plans.

The new protagonist is Jyn Erso played by Felicity Jones as she is recruited by the rebels to assist them in infiltrating whatever needs to broken into. The details of her crew are this thanks to Entertainment Weekly and Variety:

Her team will include Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), a by-the-book Rebel intelligence officer that complements the volatile Erso; Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen), who Kennedy describes as a “warrior monk”; Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen), Chirrut’s protective friend who prefers a blaster to ancient weapons; Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed), the Rebel squad’s hot-headed lead pilot; and K-2SO (Alan Tudyk), a powerful security droid who director Gareth Edwards calls the “the antithesis of C-3PO.”

Forest Whitaker will then portray a insurgent of sorts under Anakin Skywalker while Mads Mikkelson will be (SPOILER ALERT)…. Jyn’s father who has doomsday knowledge that the Empire and Rebellion so desperately want. Ben Mendelsohn will stick to being the slimy villain who will use what are called Death Troopers for his own selfish gain.

Darth Vader is set to appear in the film which makes sense due to his genesis being not far from the events of Episode III and how significant he obviously is to the original (and only) trilogy.
