Okay, I apologize for not reviewing The Conjuring 2, but I’m too scared to see it. I don’t do horror all too well, but damn I love James Wan’s horror films when I get a chance to see them… during the day.
With the success and critical and fan response to his latest sequel of The Conjuring, one of the big notes I kept hearing from horror fans was this pale faced demon who happens to look like Marilyn Manson in the worst Sister Act sequel of all time.
Wan will produce the film with partner Peter Safran for New Line Cinemas with David Leslie Johnson, who co-wrote The Conjuring 2, set to return as the scribe for The Nun spin-off film. If there is prove James Wan deserves the benefit of the doubt, the story of this nuns conception came once principle photography of the film finished up and the Nun was actually a horned demon, but director Wan asked to change the horned creature into what you briefly see before you. I’m so happy he’s the guy directing Aquaman by the way.
Unfortunately, the other Conjuring spin-off Annabelle, while making a butt load of money on it’s tiny budget made it’s money, the film’s quality was not what fans had hoped for. Either way, this is something horror fans will likely bring in as their own (understandibly) and they will get a director and hopefully good story to go along with the weirdness that is Sister Act 666.
