The anticipation for this film is killing me slowly, but surely. As we saw the cast grow into this behemoth of talent like it has, I had to believe this was going to the movie look out for. With the beautiful Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Sir Ian McKellon as Cogsworth, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Josh Gad as Le Fou, and Ewan McGregor as Lumiere expect this to be the best live-action adaptation Disney has done to date.
It is truly a tale as old as time, but what will never go away is the iconic music from the 1991 Disney animated motion picture that we all know and love with the music composed by Alan Menkin. The film is directed by Dreamgirls director Bill Condon with Stephen Chbosky (Perks of Being A Wallflower, Rent) co-writing with Evan Spiliotopoulos (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) which doesn’t sell Spilitopoulos’s credentials much, but we’re excited nonetheless.
The iconic shot of Belle going towards the rose for the first time was something straight out of the animation. The CGI for the castle and everything in it was really impressive as well. If it has the same team that gave us Cinderella (2015) I think we will be just fine.
