The Magnificent Seven Remake Gets Their First Images

The remake of a remake all started with the cinema classic Seven Samurai that is directed by iconic Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa which was then translated into a western back in 1960 directed by John Sturges. This latest remake is directed by Southpaw and Training Day director Antoine Fuqua and is bringing back his film muse that is the great Denzel Washington as well as Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Haley Bennett, Vincent D’Onofrio, Matt Bomer, Peter Sarsgaard, among others.

With these new images we will also be getting a trailer for the finished project tomorrow as mentioned by MGM/Sony. Rather than bringing this into another genre, this remake will stay a western only with a more eclectic cast with equally as impressive facial hair.

Fuqua’s boxing film received mixed reviews from fans and critics, but what he gets from his actors are never the issue. Assuming this can bring a grand scale to what should be an exciting shoot-em-up tale with actors of this caliber we are in for a treat. The cast is outstanding and equally as diverse without bringing on an agenda and we are lucky enough to see them in action come tomorrow.

The remake of a remake will hit theaters this September 23rd.
