Director of “Blue Ruin” (2013) Brings Us “Green Room” (2016) – Trailer Review

Indie films was given a heavy hitter in 2013 with Blue Ruin, a complex and excellently conceived story about revenge and family. Jeremy Saulnier is the mastermind behind the tension filled film as well as this latest installment of color filled titles as he recruits his Blue Ruin star Macon Blair and managed to get the great Patrick Stewart in what appears to be a highly violent villain in this backwoods confinement thriller.

Neo-Nazi’s and punk bands make for terrifying cinema without ever having to show fictional monsters and depicting some of the most realistic monsters of them all makes for a film that may feel like car crash you can’t look away from.

Green Room will hit theaters April 15, 2016.
