NEIL GAIMAN’S ‘FORTUNATELY, THE MILK’ TO BE ADAPTED BY EDGAR WRIGHT AND STAR JOHNNY DEPP

“This is quite possibly the most exciting adventure ever to be written about milk since Tolstoy’s epic novel War and Milk. Also it has aliens, pirates, dinosaurs and wumpires in it (but not the handsome, misunderstood kind), also a never-adequately-explained-bowl-of-piranhas, not to mention a Volcano God.”

What does that description mean for you guys? It makes me giddy with joy because of multiple reasons: 1. the person who is directing it (Edgar Wright) 2. Johnny Depp working with Edgar Wright 3. and it’s a Neil Gaiman adaptation. These are all some of the most skilled at their respective reflections and what makes this such a brilliant idea is the fit of the director and the supposed star of the film.

When you think of Edgar Wright, you think of quirky British humor, and how he was originally supposed to direct Ant-Man. Either way, the skill sets he brings to a project such as this, which is rumored to be a mixture of live-action and animation, will be an exciting film to cover in the next year or so. Depp is supposedly producing the film and Bret McKenzie will likely be helming the script
