Remember when South Park made the now meme-tastic “Annnnnd it’s gone…”? Remember when no one actually knew what they were making fun of for all these years? Well thank our Lord and Savior that someone is finally making a movie about, Adam McKay as a matter of fact, and he brought everyone he could think of to put in this high energy trailer about the banks being corrupt, check it out.
Not only does everyone have some of the worst hair I’ve seen assembled on screen, but what they lack of a barber is made up for with endlessly sharp and upfront dialogue.
I can’t imagine the film being as assertive with the message of “banks are corrupt” like in the trailer, but it didn’t bother me as much as it did others. Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale, and Steve Carrell look awesome in this trailer as their respective characters and give me a mixture of Wolf of Wall Street meets Goodfellas meets Moneyball (which McKay directed as well).
The film will be a nice switch up of all the big dramas (and Star Wars) this December and will hopefully provide us with not only the humor they showed us, but also a cool look into the issues between 2007-2010 and how it’s affecting our lives today.
