This will be a situation of “I’ll believe it when I see it” if you’re familiar with films Aronofsky was originally attached to direct. From Batman, Wolverine, and supposed to originally direct the award winning film The Fighter.
With Aronofsky since directing films like Black Swan, The Wrestler, and Requiem for a Dream, his style is hard to miss, and with his desire to do a film with his buddy Channing Tatum, this could turn out to be an interesting biopic about one of the most iconic figures in American history.
As Channing Tatum has been proving with every film he’s done that he cares about his craft, working with someone as prolific as Aronofsky can only bode well for the 35 year old actor. Originally Tatum wanted Aronofsky to direct his Gambit film (weird) it didn’t pan out which is why I can only be excited once we hear the film has begun shooting seeing Aronofsky’s track record of leaving films is well documented.
As the world record holder for most broken bones in a lifetime, Knievel is deserving of a film that can tell that history of the worlds most famous daredevil and stuntman.
