Tarantino, a director whose style and sadistic humor is unlike any filmmaker the modern era has ever seen, returns with his eighth film appropriately titled, The Hateful Eight. The film stars Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Madsen, Channing Tatum, Walton Goggins, Bruce Dern, Tim Roth, and Demian Bichir as the eight title characters.
With Tarantino in my personal list of best directors it is no surprise this trailer boasts his signature style of producing shots, witty dialogue, and casting Samuel L. Jackson in a role that looks to give us what Sammy Jackson does best. With the rest of the talent in this film, it’s hard not be excited for what the story is going unfold as, especially since it is the style of a western, but what’s make it unique is that this western is directed by Quentin Tarantino. What that means is, expect blood, sarcasm, and lots of talking.
These are all great things and he has proven to be a master of all those trades by giving us films like Django Unchained, Kill Bill Vol. 1&2, and films like Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. This not only looks great for a Christmas time movie with the winter scenery and old school cozy vibe of the setting, but it will be also turn out to be a “who-done-it” type of film as well.
The film comes out on Christmas Day this year and will be the eighth film by Oscar-winning director Quentin Tarantino.
